ABOUT ME

My name is Brandon Cook — a Certified Holistic Life & Wellness Coach through the International Association of Wellness Professionals, a Green Beret Veteran, and the founder of Summit Five. I spent nine years serving as a Senior Special Forces Communications Sergeant and Special Forces Sniper, supporting missions and training in some of the world’s most intense and diverse environments. At the heart of my role was teaching and mentorship. As a Green Beret, I had the privilege of training allied military forces around the world — helping them build the skills, confidence, and cohesion needed to operate with strength and purpose.

I hold a B.S. in Counseling and Applied Psychological Science with a concentration in Substance Abuse and Addiction. In addition to my credentials, I bring something deeper: lived experience. With over a decade in recovery and five years of sustained sobriety, I’ve walked the same path I now help others navigate — using the same proven, holistic method that transformed my own life.

WHY I TRANSITIONED FROM MILITARY SERVICE TO COACHING

As a Green Beret, I was fortunate to have some amazing experiences — advanced training, traveling the world, and the opportunity to serve alongside some of the most dedicated teammates and allied partners. But over time, my definition of purpose began to shift.

The same discipline that carried me through my time in the military began pointing me in a new direction — toward healing. Not just for myself, but for others. I saw too many teammates, high performers, and everyday people silently struggling. Burnt out. Disconnected. Caught in cycles of addiction, stress, and survival.

I realized my greatest impact wouldn’t come from carrying a weapon or supporting operations. It would come from walking alongside people as they rediscover who they truly are — and reclaim their health, their mindset, and their sense of meaning.

So I chose a new path. I was ready to lead a different kind of mission. Prepared to serve in a new way.

Summit Five is that mission now.
